Role: HR Advisor
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Stocksbridge
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
The role: Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a talented and ambitious HR generalist to join their team. Working in a collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop long-lasting client relationships with a variety of clients from a diverse range of sectors. As a HR advisor, you'll work closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their organisational objectives and culture. You will be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of our clients' organisations, assessing risk and providing expert support and guidance in a wide range of employee relations matters.
Responsibilities as a HR Advisor Responsible for developing and enhancing excellent client relationships to ensure timely and high-quality HR advice is maintained at all times. Responsible for maintaining and developing an in-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice. Creating and/or developing employee handbooks and policies that are legally compliant and tailored to the client's needs. Produce high-quality, legally compliant documentation promptly. Advising clients on a wide range of HR-related scenarios including support for investigations, disciplinary or grievance procedures, and organisational change. Attend formal meetings and hearings where required to act as minute taker. The successful candidate: At least 12 months experience working in a HR advisor or manager role. Proven experience in managing relationships and advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, etc.). Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice. Ability to work with a diverse range of clients, to build relationships and become a trusted advisor. Be able to provide commercial advice which translates HR theory or employment legislation into workable recommendations for our clients by assessing risk and understanding the client's business objectives. Ability to work well under pressure, being able to prioritise and manage expectations. Highly organised. High attention to detail. Ideally CIPD qualified or willing to work towards the qualification.
