The post holder is responsible for providing an excellent, customer focussed service by efficiently and effectively managing the housing register and letting Lancaster City Council homes and garages in accordance with Lancaster City Council's policies and procedures to maximise rental income.Housing Options Officers provide advice and support to applicants and ensure that excellent service is provided throughout the application process, allocation and letting of properties.The post holder will have the ability to work under pressure in what can be a busy environment and can prioritise workloads and be able to work in a person-centred, holistic way.This position is permanent.
The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9.00 until 5.00 pm.
The Council currently operates a Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post dependant on the operational needs of the service.
