Job VacancyWe are seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join our team, where you will play a key role in a number of housing related initiatives designed to maximise use of our housing stock.
As a Housing Officer you will work closely with tenants to address there needs and resolve issues and ensure a positive living environment.

KNOWLEDGE Operational knowledge of housing policy and related legislation is desirable to deliveraccurate information and make balanced judgements within statutory requirements & strictguidelines.The jobholder should have experience of dealing with vulnerable and disadvantaged clients,and have knowledge of giving welfare related advice and signposting to support networks.Knowledge of housing and related legislation in the operation of Council policies andproceduresKnowledge of MS Office or similar Spreadsheet and Word processing applications isessential.Homepoint Level 2 or 2 Highers, including English, or SVQ equivalent combined with necessary experience.
A diploma in Housing Studies is a desirable qualification.If the jobholder does not meet the educational criteria, they will have to evidence they havethe capacity to meet the educational standard.The jobholder requires knowledge of a wide range of jobs and associated activities and willgenerally need an extended period of relevant working experience to become fully competent& familiar with all aspects of the job (2 years).
