Housing Disrepair (Hdr) Fee Earner

We are a well-established law firm based located in central Manchester are offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our team due to departmental growth.
We are looking for a diligent, confident, self-motivated and experienced person to fill the role of Housing Disrepair Fee Earner.
The role is perfect for someone looking to continue a career in the legal industry as the scope for promotion for the right candidate is excellent.
The candidate will be working closely alongside other fee earners and two partners at the firm and will be responsible for their own caseload under supervision.
Experience/Skills Required   ·        ILEX or equivalent or LPC ·        Excellent IT Skills with the ability to work with a Case Management System, databases and normal office IP systems ·        Experience of working with the general public and a friendly, sensitive and cooperative approach to client care ·        Good knowledge and understanding of procedures and protocol ·        Good practical skills, including proven negotiation skills ·        The ability to adhere to strict time limits ·        Strong interpersonal, organisational and prioritising skills ·        Excellent attention to detail to all work undertaken ·        Ideally a minimum of six months' experience in a similar role either in-house or within private practice ·        HDR knowledge Role ·        Handling a caseload of Claimant HDR (Housing Disrepair) ·        Handling transferred Fast Track HDR files that are ready to litigate ·        Representing the team in the conduct of client matters in providing legal advice and assistance in a professional matter ·        Completing all necessary investigations into the disrepair and undertaking Quantum calculations ·        Collating and reviewing the evidence to assess prospects of the claim succeeding its merits ·        Carrying out legal research as required ·        Negotiating settlement on the best possible terms for the Client ensuring that instructions are followed or taken at the key stages ·        Ensuring that the legal expenses provider is kept updated at all key stages ·        Drafting the necessary documents to issue court proceedings, following court directions, drafting statements and preparing the file for a final court hearing Additional information   ·        Monday - Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm office-based (with some hybrid working) ·        £24,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience + attractive bonus scheme ·        Training and progression opportunities
