The MedicalDay Case carries out various evasive procedures and a variety of infusionaltherapies.Thisnew non-clinical post, supporting the clinical team, is being introduced at theWorcestershire Royal Hospital, and will develop into an integral part of theward team; you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patientfacilities/services on the Acute Stroke Unit, ensuring a clean, safe andcomfortable environment.

Themain element of the role is ensuring and supporting the delivery of cleaning,catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meetindividual patients needs, as determined by the ward sister / charge nurse.

Demonstratehow to use the bed head telephone and communication system, and ensure theseare maintained in accordance with agreed protocols.
Handleindividual patient requests as they arise.
Organiseand update notice boards as appropriate.
Ensurewritten patient information is in date and given to patients when appropriate.
Maintaina high standard of personal behaviour and ensure effective communication withall members of the multidisciplinary team, patients carers and relatives.
Actas a point of contact for ward based volunteers, providing local induction andday to day guidance.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE grade C or above in English Maths, or equivalent Desirable NVQ or equivalent in relevant subject.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Experience Essential Basic Health & Safety Infection Control Manual Handling Basic Food Hygiene Customer Care skills Previous experience in hospitality / customer facing or care environment and working in a team.
Desirable Basic keyboard skills Knowledge of the NHS Standards of Cleanliness
