There is no better time to start a career within our Housekeeping team than now!
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Ribble Autism School in Lostock Hall.
As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our school premises during term times.
Your work will directly contribute to providing a safe and conducive learning environment for our pupils with autism.
The successful candidate will be reliable with a can-do attitude to working as part of our friendly team.
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, hallways, offices, and other school areas.
Ensure that all designated areas are sanitised and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Manage and dispose of waste in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
Assist in organising and tidying classrooms, play areas, and common spaces to promote a neat and orderly environment.
Responsible for daily laundry tasks ensuring clean, dry towels and clothing are available.
Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including following relevant paperwork and protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, with excellent time management skills.
Keyholding responsibilities may be required.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Compassionate, with a genuine interest in supporting children with autism.
Understanding of the importance of adherence to health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have experience of daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork in completed and a good knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to the role, along with the following characteristics: Communication During your role your working environment may involve interacting with our young people we support that may display varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties.
Organisation As well as supervising the staff team, you'll need to be confident and organised in record keeping, ensuring issues are logged on the internal computer systems and keeping up to date with routine maintenance checks.
