Our client are a compassionate and dedicated care company; they are currently seeking a diligent and caring Housekeeper to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.
Hours of work will be on a rota basis, between 9am and 7pm.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the care home is a clean, welcoming, and safe place for the residents, staff, and visitors.
Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of hygiene will help to create a home-like environment that supports the well-being and comfort of the residents.
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all areas of the care home, including resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Manage laundry services for residents, ensuring their clothing and bedding are cleaned to a high standard.
Safely and efficiently dispose of waste, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, using appropriate PPE and cleaning materials.
Engage warmly and respectfully with residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with care and consideration.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a care home or similar environment, is preferred but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a health care setting.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A caring and empathetic approach, with a passion for helping others.
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
You need to be able to obtain a DBS certificate.
Driving license essential due to location.Pay starting from £12.05 per hour.
