Job summary Brantham Ward are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated housekeeper to join us.
You will be an integral part of the team ensuring a high quality service to patients.
Excellent communication skills are vital as the role includes liaising with Estates and Facilities, EME and working closely nursing and OCS staff.The Housekeeper role will have the responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness of clinical equipment specified and the cleanliness of areas where the equipment is stored and those areas that fall outside of the OCS Contract.You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the ward area ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.Supporting the ward area by ensuring equipment is well maintained and stock levels are closely monitored.
Main duties of the job To ensure cleanliness of clinical equipment when not in patient use.To report any failure, repair or maintenance needed to any equipment and to arrange maintenance to be undertaken.To restock equipment as required.To establish a pleasant and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
To assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the ward highlighting concerns to ward sister if necessary.
