This role will require thesuccessful candidate to be accountable, alongside a clinical lead, for leading andmanaging a team of nursing and care staff to ensure the delivery ofhigh-quality care to children and young people.Staff benefits include Londonweighting, shuttle bus, and more Read more below Main duties of the job You will be the lead professional responsiblefor coordinating the overall care and management of the children in the House,and the key contact for the family and multidisciplinary team.
In collaborationwith the Placement Managers, you will ensure care is appropriately planned andresourced, and you will ensure care is delivered in asafe manner at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring that thecare in the House(s) enables the children to access their education and/orrehabilitation sessions, clinics, and leisure activities as scheduled in theirtimetable.
You will work as part of a leadership teamcomprising of a House Manager, Deputy House Manager and Clinical Leadresponsible for one or two Houses within a rotational model.
Whilstundertaking the duties of the substantively employed role, this post isrequired to participate in a senior rota cover on site and respond to clinicalescalations only in addition to their role.
With experience ofworking in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, youwill be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail.
Youwill naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability toconsult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Job description Job responsibilities Clinical Skills and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the clinical assessment ofchildren referred to The Childrens Trust and contribute to the ReferralScreening Report.
Leads and supervise the assessments, careplanning and evaluation of childrens care needs in collaboration withfamilies, and take action to address any issues/complications, for all childrenresident in the House.
Participate in the site manager out of hoursrota.
Provide an environment where children aresupported to express themselves as individuals and are given an appropriatedegree of freedom and choice in their day-to-day care arrangements, dependingon their individual needs and the setting in which they are cared for.Set appropriate social goals for children,ensuring a full range of activities are available.
Provide a high quality of direct care asevidenced by clinical audit, which places the child/young person and theirfamilies at the centre of all planning.Work with the Placement Manager to ensureeffective discharge planning processes that incorporate the needs of the childand family, and are clearly understood by the multidisciplinary team, family,and funder.Ensures the safe custody and administration ofmedication and report any discrepancies.Demonstrate competence in the full set ofclinical nursing skills required of the role, as outlined in the RN competencypackage.Workclosely with the senior nursing team to embed the principles of clinicalgovernance into practice and attend regular clinical governance meetings.
