Hotel Services Assistant

Job summary Towork as part of the Hotel Services team ensuring a clean and safe environmentthrough the delivery of a quality cleaning service, in compliance with CSH Schedules,Procedures and Policies.
Serviceof refreshments and snacks to patients, including providing assistance at mealservice.
To havegood communication links and provide customer service between Hotel Services, patients,clinical teams, other co-owners, and visitors.Toprovide a general portering service, including the safe transportation ofpersons and items around the Hospital.
Postholder must be able to follow a schedule, but also work on own initiative.Note: we do not offer UKVI sponsorship, and so all applicants require acurrent right to work in the UK.
Main duties of the job Vacuuming,mopping, buffing floors and clearing spillages.
Damp dustingfixtures, fittings, ledges and furniture.
High dusting.
Clean sinks,baths, showers, and fittings including dispensers & replenishsupplies.
Empty wastebins, clean and replenish sacks.
Ensure clinical waste is appropriately tagged.
Settingdining tables and assist with patient meal service.
Carry out ward beveragerounds throughout the day, and serve snacks.
Clearing andwashing up following meal service.
Ensure waste food is disposed ofappropriately.

Empty wastebins, clean and replenish sacks.

Spot cleaninternal glass.
Routinecurtain changing or following infection.
Cleantelephones.
Settingdining tables and assist with patient meal service.
Carry out ward beveragerounds throughout the day, and serve snacks.
Clearing andwashing up following meal service.
Ensure waste food is disposed ofappropriately.
Clean kitchenincluding dishwasher and fridges.
Check food is covered and dated ensurestock rotation of ward provisions.
Monitor &record fridge temperatures daily.
Completion ofcleaning check lists daily.
Cleanhousekeeping cupboard and equipment daily and store in a safe manner.
Storechemicals securely when not in use.
Report any faults to the Supervisor.
Laundermops daily.
Liaise withward manager to identify any additional cleans on patient discharge orisolation rooms.

Assist with general enquiries.
Ensure allcommunication is conducted politely and clearly 5.Ensure action is taken to promote the on-goingsafety and security of the site including safe key handling, and alarmingbuilding.
When portering ensure the security of the building and undertakelocking and unlocking.
Challenge inappropriate visitors.
6.Respond to any portering requests which may be receivedface to face or via phone/radio, in a timely manner.
7.Ensure all equipment used during the course ofduties is in good working order, safe and clean.
8.To act as advised in accordance with statutoryregulations relating to Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety, Manual Handling,Food Safety, Infection Control Policy, Safeguarding and NHS Guidance.
Ensurepatient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.9.To maintain up to date training by e-learning orface to face sessions.
10.Respond to the fire alarm and support the responseto the incident as instructed by the fire incident controller.11.To have a flexible approach to the delivery ofHotel Services.12.To Assist with other Hotel Services Assistant functions catering assistant if required and following appropriate trainingCommunication and Team Working1.Goodcommunication is required with the clinical teams to enhance patient care, andmaking Nursing team aware of any patient dissatisfaction.2.To provide a high standard of customer service toall patients, visitors and co-owners including a high standard of personal careand uniform including the wearing of a name badge and ID at all times.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good basic education : literacy and basic numeric skills.
Desirable NVQ Level 1/2/3 Support Services: Cleaning or equivalent.
To have be working towards Food Safety Certificate Foundation/Level 2 Experience Essential Knowledge of various cleaning tasks including floor maintenance.
Experience of working with the public in a customer facing environment Knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control, including National colour coding systems.
Understanding of safe use of cleaning chemicals.
Knowledge of COSHH regulations Desirable Experience of cleaning processes.
Previous experience of cleaning within a healthcare environment.
