Job summary Job opportunities have arisen for 3 x 35hr Ward Based Catering Assistants & 1 x 21hr Beverage Assistant to join part of our busy Catering Team at Prince Charles Hospital.The positions will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.
To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Main duties of the job The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset.
The main duties of the post include ward based patient catering and beverage service on wards within Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering services.Alsoin the event of service pressure and according to the Job Description requirements of this role successful candidates may be required to perform Housekeeping duties.Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.
Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.
The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.This post is monthly paid.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
