Job summary Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact in healthcare?
King's Mill Hospital has an exciting opportunity for you!
As a Hospital Out of Hours Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective safe clinical care is delivered outside of normal working hours within Kings Mill Hospital.

Your Responsibilities Include:?
Providing strong clinical leadership within a multi-professional team.?
Offering advice, support, guidance, and education to nursing and Junior medical staff.?
Being a role model and expert practitioner.?
Responding to critical issues, Acute response and Cardiac Arrest calls as part of the Hospital Out of Hours team.?
Ensuring prompt support and effective clinical assessment/treatment.?
Developing advanced assessment skills and knowledge.?
Expanding professional practice in line with nursing professional codes.?
Undertaking procedures like cannulations, venepuncture, catheterisation, and 12 lead ECG recordings.?
Collaborating closely with the Duty Nurse Manager.?
Prioritising workloads with the aid of Nerve Centre.

Job description Job responsibilities Please see attached job description and person specification for further details and main responsibilities Person Specification Knowledge Essential Good communication skills with clear written and oral skills Proven management skillseffective organisation abilities, supervisory skills, leadership skills, change management skills Desirable Presentation skills Qualifications Essential 1 st Level Registered Nurse Degree in Nursing or equivalent clinical professional qualification Registered clinical professional Qualification in teaching and assessing or equivalent.
Evidence of continued professional development Desirable Working towards Masters qualification or equivalent Additional professional/management qualifications APACs or equivalent consultation and assessment course or working towards it Non-medical prescribing course, or working towards it Further Training Essential Evidence of personal and professional development in clinical practice/ management Advanced Life Support.
Relevant teaching and assessing qualification Desirable Experience of working towards Care Quality Commission and NHS Resolution standards Advance life support Relevant teaching and assessing qualification Coronary Care Course Experience Essential Significant post registration experience, with experience in a senior position within the speciality Experience of operating and communicating effectively with clinicians and Multi - disciplinary Experience of initiating, conducting and evaluating risk assessments and investigations Experience of leading and managing staff Contractual Requirements Essential Regular attendance Ability to work flexibly Professional Registration ( NMC, HCPC) Work flexibly to meet the demands of the service
