Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom.
This role offers guaranteed hours contracts, providing stability and consistency for both our carers and clients.
As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance in their own homes.Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and groomingAssist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all timesPrepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessaryPerform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environmentRemind clients to take prescribed medications as per care planOffer companionship and emotional support to clientsAccompany clients to medical appointments or social activities when requiredMonitor and report any changes in client's condition to the care coordinatorMaintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concernsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careQualificationsStrong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their familiesEmpathetic and patient-focused approach to careBasic medical knowledge and understanding of common health conditions in elderly careExcellent time management and organisational skillsPhysical ability to assist with client mobility and transfersPrevious experience in home care or healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred, but not essential.
