Are you ready to step into a pivotal role that shapes the future of residential services while making a real difference in people's lives?
Join our dynamic team as the Head of Residence and Wellbeing , where you will lead the charge in delivering exceptional residential services that foster a safe, secure, and rehabilitative prison environment for both staff and prisoners!
Your Mission : As Head of Prison Residence and Wellbeing, you will be accountable for managing a wide range of services, including Admissions, Residential Wings, the ISMS Recovery Wing, and a multitude of Enrichment Activities.
You'll be instrumental in upholding a 'Rehabilitative & Restorative Culture' and ensuring compliance with all relevant contractual obligations, standards, and policies.
What You'll Achieve : Lead with Integrity : Foster respect, dignity, diversity, and inclusion in every interaction within the custodial environment.
Empower and Support Staff : Coach and inspire your team to maximise their potential and deliver outstanding performance.
Champion Prisoner Welfare : Ensure the highest standards of wellbeing and ensure the safety of all involved.
Strategic Oversight : Take charge as the directing representative, responsible for daily operations, chairing adjudications, and engaging in strategic planning.
Who We're Looking For : The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in a prison custodial or secure environment at a senior level.
Exceptional leadership skills and a passion for motivating and engaging others.
Expertise in performance improvement and managing key performance indicators.
Strategic outlook and experience A track record of establishing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships.
A strong understanding of prison legislation and the wider criminal justice system.
Qualifications : Relevant experience or qualifications equivalent to Level 3 or above (A levels, Advanced Apprenticeship, etc.).
Silver command training, or a commitment to complete it, is highly desirable.
