Highways Capital Project Manager

Highways Capital Project Manager – Nr Walsall One of the UK's leading engineering firms (tier 1) requires a Highways Capital and Project Manager to be responsible for the development and delivery of a highways Whole Life Maintenance Plan for a major piece of UK infrastructure.
The role require you to develop an appropriate scenario based capital and investment strategy for approval by the COO, to consider asset condition, traffic volumes, risk, maintenance innovations, spend to save etc.
Develop a technical and visual testing regime to ensure that asset condition is monitored and the data used to inform the plan.
Engage with and promote innovation within the wider highways maintenance industry to ensure that this project is leading edge in its approach.
Skills required Proven track record within a Civil Engineering and Contracting environment Proven track record of leading the design, procurement, delivery and implementation of capital projects of up to £5m in a motorway environment Proven track record of managing suppliers and contractors to ensure they deliver efficient services within agreed timescales to a high standard Proven experience of long term maintenance planning of complex highways engineering assets Proven engineering design and construction capability Intermediate level of IT skills Good communicator – able to effectively engage with external contractors and suppliers at a financial and technical level This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading engineering firm in a highly visible potion.
