Job summary We are delighted to advertise a permanent Band 7 UGI Dietetic post working as a member of the Greater Manchester Oesophago-gastric Surgical Multi-Disciplinary.The role will complement our existing Gastro Dietetic Team which consists of an ACP post, Band 7 Dietitians, Band 6 Dietitians, Band 5 Dietitian and Dietetic assistants.
Main duties of the job You will work alongside the Greater Manchester Oesophago-gastric Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide holistic care and treatment planning for those patients diagnosed with an UGI cancer, plus those with benign UGI conditions.
This role will support the establishment of early dietetic assessment for patients diagnosed with an UGI cancer in the East Cheshire region, optimising their nutritional status during diagnosis.The position requires a leader who is adaptable, motivated, compassionate, and dynamic to work within this established service.
It is essential that you are skilled in working as part of a multidisciplinary team and successful at engaging others.
Experience of treating patients and working in an acute and outpatient setting is essential.
Good communication skills and flexibility are essential qualities.
