You will need to have comprehensive knowledge and experience of working with children in care and wider system partnership working .
The post holder will need to demonstrate an understanding of the health needs of looked after children and be a strong advocate for their voice to be heard.
The role will support the implementation of service development, standard setting, clinical audit and benchmarking, to deliver needs-led evidence-based care that supports the local and national priorities for children in care..
This post holder will manage the LAC nursing team and participate in the care and assessment of children who are looked after, planning their care and transition beyond care into adulthood.You will also play a key role in supporting the progression of a number of projects to improve services across NELFT and work closely with key stakeholders including children who are looked after .
This role will also involve close working with locality based partnerships to work effectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of looked after children.
Working for our organisation Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period.
Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).High Cost Area Supplement - FringeThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,258 to a maximum of £2,122 pro rata for part time).
