We are looking for a highly specialist Occupational Therapist to work in our acute pathway Therapies team, joining SALT, Psychology, nursing and key working colleagues.
You will be part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, who are focused on ensuring children and young people, and their families, get the right help at the right time.
Offering specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people presenting with co-morbid mental health needs as well as autism and neurodiversity you will be have an important role in shaping the care of young people presenting in the acute pathway and then receiving ongoing care from both the CAMHS key working and locality teams.
*Relocation package is offered for this post* This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
Proposed interview date: 16th or 17th December Main duties of the job As a Specialist Occupational Therapist in acute care you will have a key role in supporting our new Key working Team and our multiagency rapid response service (MARRS).

Person Specification Education & Qualifications Essential A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Health Professions Council registered Extensive experience of working with people with Autism/ADHD/neurodevelopmental conditions and Mental Health conditions Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses relevant to children and young people with Autism up to masters degree level, or equivalent Desirable Experience of working with children and young people who are in crisis.
Skills and Aptitude Essential Highly skilled in use of standardised assessments and professionally recognised non-standardised assessment tools relevant to this client group Ability to organise and manage an individual caseload effectively, and to set own priorities Knowledge and abilities Essential Specialist knowledge of selection and application of OT assessments and interventions relevant to children and young people with Autism and learning disability and other neurodevelopmental conditions Advanced knowledge and understanding of the impact of autism/learning disability on language and communication
