HLTA Location: Burnley, East Lancashire (BB10) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Term-time only Hourly pay: £14.50 - £15.60 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week - Term-time only The Main Purpose of the Role: The school are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support our students to develop and use strategies to enable them to access learning and achieve the best outcomes and to promote their cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being through the whole curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
Key duties: To take responsibility for leading behaviour approaches and pastoral care on a day-to-day basis Support all staff with training needs both whole staff sessions and individual class group sessions as required.
To work closely with the Deputy Head Teacher for Behaviour and Safeguarding to lead on behaviour across the school.
Carefully monitoring the health and well-being of the pupils and passing on information to relevant colleagues and other professionals with both concerns and positive changes.
Carefully monitor behaviour reports and identify any trends in behaviour where strategies or interventions are required and support staff to implement these.
Essential: Level 3 TA or higher Full UK driving license.
Safeguarding and Child Protection trained.
Experience of Pastoral and Positive Behaviour approaches.
Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge.
