Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Primary School, Preston Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Hours: Full-time, Term-time only Pay: Competitive rate of £13.80 per hour Start Date: January 2025 We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school community starting in January.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1, providing essential assistance to both pupils and teachers.
Responsibilities: -          Provide general support to teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
-          Work with individuals and small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts.
-          Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons.
-          Cover classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
-          Support pupils' social and emotional development through positive interactions.
-          Maintain a safe and positive learning environment within the classroom and around the school premises.
Requirements: -          HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working in a primary school setting.
-          Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with children.
-          Good organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
-          Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and strategies to support children's learning.
-          Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of the school day.
