Job summary We are recruiting for Maternity Support Workers who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
As a Maternity Support Worker, you will work directly with patients and babies, assisting with their clinical care within various specialist and integrated teams, including theatres, fetal medicine, and community hubs.
You'll be an integral part of our multidisciplinary teams, providing vital support to ensure the safety and comfort of both mothers and newborns.
You would be required to work days, nights, weekends & bank holidays.

Main duties of the job You will ensure effective communication with colleagues, patients, and their families.
You will work to promote individualised care, specific to the needs of the patient and their family, acting as an advocate within the multidisciplinary team in the absence of the midwife.
Whilst working under the supervision of the designated midwife and part of a multidisciplinary team, undertakes the direct care and appropriate interventions to maximise a positive client experience and promote the physical and mental health and wellbeing of the patient and baby.
You will participate in the collection and recording of written and electronic data, in line with Trust guidelines and policies.
You will work in partnership with clients and professionals both internally and external to the Trust to provide an effective network of care for the clients in their care.
You will act as an advocate for the department, in promoting respectful and flexible team working across areas.
