Higher Leadership Teaching Assistant.
Location: Derby, UK Salary: £95 - £115 per day.
Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP We are currently seeking a Higher Leadership Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a dynamic and nurturing Primary School.
We are looking for an individual who can provide essential support to both teachers and students.
The ideal candidate will need to have experience in supporting a range of pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities: - PPA Cover: Deliver lessons and activities during the class teachers absence, ensuring continuity and engagement during their PPA time.
- Classroom support: Work closely with the class teacher to support day-to-day teaching and help to foster a positive and productive learning environment for all children.
- SEND Support: Provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.
- Small Group & 1:1 Interventions: Assist in delivering targeted interventions and support for all students, in small groups or 1:1 settings.
About you: - Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) qualification or an equivalent qualification.
- Obtain an Enhanced Child Only DBS which is on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for DBS).
- Experience working within a Primary School, ideally in a similar role.
- Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff, students and parents.
- Confident in covering classes and delivering pre-prepared lessons during the teachers PPA time.
- Passionate about making a difference in children's education, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
