Due to growth they are looking to increase the workforce, and need someone to assist in undertaking all elements of the Vehicle maintenance for the Film and TV side.
Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Fleet Engineer / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic: Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to customer fleets.
Taking care of general vehicle maintenance duties including but not limited too; Ensuring that customer fleets are safe, legal, and fit for duties at all times maintenance inspection of heavy vehicles, To carry out preventative maintenance inspections to the highest standard ensuring all vehicles are safe and legal and fit for duties, Prepare all vehicles to the highest standard for MOT to ensure minimum number of failures.
Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard whilst ensuring the vehicles are operating safely and compliant with legislation.
Ensuring all vehicles are road tested prior to confirming completion wherever possible.
Ensure any wheels removed are refitted in the correct manner and wheel nuts torqued using the companies calibrated torque wrenches to the correct settings.
(As per the wheel retorque policy).
Always ensure good housekeeping of the Workshop & vehicles and your work area.
Ensure the company complies with their commitment to ISO14001/9001 accreditation, IRTE, FTA by always maintaining the best possible standard of work.
Complete job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork with good work practice.
Knowledge of the use / operations of all automotive equipment and testing /troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work on own initiative.
