Job purpose of theHGV RCV Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Plant Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Plant Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / RCV Mechanic / Hydraulic Electrical Engineer / Refuse Vehicle Technician: Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will support the Transport Workshop in completing a high standard of repair, on a range of specialist commercial vehicles, including Trailers, bin lorries, skips lorries, tippers.
You will be playing a lead role in the training and development of workshop technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities of theHGV RCV Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / Plant Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Plant Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / RCV Mechanic / Hydraulic Electrical Engineer / Refuse Vehicle Technician: Diagnostics, fault finding and repair of vehicle electrical systems Undertake timely repairs of HGVs in accordance with manufacturer technical standards and timeframes.
Identify & diagnose defects on vehicles and ancillary equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues.
Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on first time fix.
Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required.
Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles.
Repair damage defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image.
