We know our people are the key to our success, and we're looking for a qualified HGV Technician Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver excellence in our vehicle maintenance operations.
The Role: As a VMU Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit.
Working as part of a close-knit team, your focus will be on meeting operational targets while maintaining vehicle safety and reliability to support our logistics and transport operations.
About You We're looking for a proactive and results-driven professional with exceptional communication and organisational skills who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
You'll have a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities under pressure, a strong customer-focused mindset, and excellent planning abilities.
A City and Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in HGV Maintenance is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities Drive the achievement of shift KPIs by effectively organising team members for their delivery of their tasks Ensure compliance with safety standards Prioritise shift workloads to maximise resource efficiency Adapt flexibly to perform additional shift coordination and Technician duties when required Facilitate seamless communication across shifts Ensure vehicles are maintained to meet Company and DVSA standards. Coordinate with the Transport and Logistics departments to optimise vehicle availability. Effectively manage the use of established sub-contractors. Take ownership of personal development by identifying training needs and participating in a culture of continuous learning Contribute to the promotion and sharing of "Best Practice" within Vehicle Maintenance.
