FM Conway is currently seeking a HGV Column Erector to join our Street Lighting division. As our HGV Column Erector, you will be working within a team on electrical lighting installations across a range of high-profile projects in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Camden, and Brent.
The duties of the role will include: Working within health and safety plans, safe systems of work, and risk assessments. Interpreting scaled drawings of basic electrical installations and detailed drawings of underground cabling. Undertaking excavations, installations, and takedowns of street lighting furniture. Ensuring that all site works are executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner whilst adhering to company health & safety processes & procedures and maintaining regular liaison with supervisors. Maintaining plant, vehicle, and materials record sheets to support the works programme as well as ensuring all plant is fit for purpose and maintained to required standards. What skills and experience do you need? To be considered for our HGV Column Erector role, you will have previous experience of working in the Street Lighting industry and as a minimum, you will hold the following certifications:
HGV Class 2 license. NPORS, ALLMI, CPCS Lorry Loader operator. NRSWA Units 1-9. This role will involve travel to other FM Conway and customer locations, and therefore the job holder must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence.
