JOB TITLE: HGV class 2 Driver LOCATION: Aylesford, UK WORKING HOURS: 45 hour week + overtime A bit about the role.... We are looking for an experienced HGV driver to join our transport team.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and we like to offer a "white glove" service to our customers.
It is a physical role that will involve heavy lifting of our furniture and other products.
As part of a small team, we expect everyone to be respectful of responsibility and commitment.
Some of the key responsibilities Providing white glove delivery and installation of our products and furniture.
Loading and unloading of vehicles.
Heavy lifting required.
To carry out daily tasks as set out by the Transport Supervisor.
Communication with other departments as required.
Working as part of a team and doing other ad-hoc jobs as needed.
Ensuring your vehicle is kept maintained and any faults or defects are reported immediately upon inspection.
Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed.
Requirements A full and valid UK driving licence with HGV class 2 license.
Involves heavy lifting so you need to be physically fit, able to lift and manoeuvre heavy loads.
Manual handling training will be provided.
Some woodwork, carpentry or furniture assembly experience would be ideal but not essential.
Superb customer service skills with a polite, professional and helpful manner Strong team player.
Very practical.
Happy to work away overnight as required.
Willing to work overtime as required.
Enthusiastic, flexible approach with can-do attitude.
Reliable and punctual – a real team-player.
Accurate and careful.
Excellent verbal communications skills.
