HGV Class 1 Driver Hatfield AL10 24.50 - 25.88 per hour Any shift finishing before 2am: 24.50 Any shift finishing after 2am: 25.88 Shift pattern, Sunday - Saturday Early, Lates and Nights available We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work for the Christmas and New Year busy period Monday - Sunday early, lates & nights shifts.
The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.
You will need to complete a 4 hour assessment which is paid once you pass and complete your first weeks assignments.
Key tasks: Delivering items to customers Trunking mail across the country Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries Requirements: Valid commercial driver's license 2 years (CDL) Clean driving record with no major violations Proven experience as a truck driver Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and customer service skills DBS required 5 year address history If you feel you are the right fit for this role and you are looking for consistent ongoing work, click apply and somebody from Pin Point Recruitment will give you a call to discuss this role further.
