OPERATIONAL SUPERVISOR The Operational Supervisor will supervise team members to ensure blood collection, donor retention and recruitment, product manufacturing, and blood distribution needs are met throughout the region. Additionally, the Operational Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of all processes and needs associated with the Aberdeen facility including supply inventory levels, fleet management, and equipment needs.
WORK SCHEDULE The work schedule will vary based on operational need. The Operational Supervisor should expect a mix of office time and time spent working side-by-side completing tasks with staff at the facility or on mobile drives. Office time is typically 8a-5p, while work in production or on mobiles may fall outside traditional daytime hours.
COMPENSATION Anticipated starting range between $30 - $33/hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Authority to recommend personnel decisions such as hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations. Supervises and assesses that personnel perform assigned duties in compliance with all policies, processes, and procedures. Leads and performs decision-making duties, processes, and activities that encompass blood collection, manufacturing, and distribution needs throughout the region responsible for staff members for mobiles and donor centers, and on-site manufacturing and distribution of blood products. Performs technical duties for donor screening, blood collection, and automation production for all donation types. Provides expertise to handle all questions regarding donor selection, venipuncture, automation, and donor questions. Performs technical duties for component manufacturing and product distribution. Assists with recruitment and retention of donors through good customer service practices, including telephone recruitment/reminders to support the contact center, and donor rebooking, etc. Promotes employee retention and professional growth by providing a positive and supportive culture and environment. Facilitates employee development by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring with the coordination of management. Ensures team members have adequate training to perform designated duties. Responsible for oversight of assigned donor center facility, blood distribution activities, blood manufacturing activities, and fleet management. Responsible for managing inventory of supplies needed to operate and supervises all necessary maintenance of equipment. Drives the mobile vehicle in time scheduled to and from mobile. Always prepared for adverse weather conditions. May assist with the fleet equipment and supplies during the preparation before and after mobile drives. Performs checks of sites/staging and fleet to ensure all LifeServe property and critical supplies are present prior to any departures and returns. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED Maintained competency as an Operations Technician required. Current in CPR required. 3+ years in current LifeServe Donor Services or Hospital Services position preferred. RN or LPN with current licensure preferred. Previous phlebotomy experience required.
