Heavy Civils Design Manager

Are you a Design Manager with experience working on civil major infrastructure projects?

Do you have strong experience managing the design of heavy civils such as bridges and highways?

Location: West London - Hybrid
Rate: Dependant on experience - outside IR35
Contract length: Initial 9 months with potential of several years

This is a great opportunity to work on one of the biggest substation builds in the UK. My client is a design consultancy who has taken on the civil packages of this £300 million+ power project. They will be working on earthworks, bridges, entry roads, and the civil packages of the substation itself.

My client is looking for a Design Manager who can work with the main contractor and help with client relationships. Other duties will involve:
Documentation schedules/filingAttending weekly meetingsLooking after programRaising early warnings
In an ideal world, the candidate will come from a designer background and have worked for a main contractor in the past to understand the client's mentality.

Anyone who has worked on National Grid projects and had interface with Network Rail would be highly sought after, as well as having experience working with reinforced concrete structures.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days in the office (South West London), with one of these days being on-site (Heathrow) and the other 2 being home working.Required QualificationsNone
