The healthcare support worker role is a key role in the healthcare team.
You can make such a positive impact and difference on a patient and the care they receive.
We know the work we do is rewarding but tough.
We have an extensive support system in place for staff support who can offer 24 hour support and guidance to help you look after yourself whilst caring for others.The Interview for this position will take place on Saturday 7th December at Royal Papworth Hospital.
This will be a face to face interview.
Main duties of the job When you start we'll give you the training you need to feel safe and supported in the role.
We'll support you achieving the care certificate which is a universal qualification, recognised across the health sector.
We'll give you training in your specialist area so you are able to grow and develop your career with us at Royal Papworth.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Successful completion of Care Certificate within 12 weeks of appointment Complete specialty-required knowledge competencies within agreed time period (up to 6 months) Must possess a willingness to undertake further study to achieve competency levels required Desirable Specific specialty on-the-job training Good general standard of education to vocational level 3 (GCSE 'A' level standard or equivalent) Experience Essential Communicating with a range of people from different backgrounds Understanding the role of the Health Care Support Worker Knowledge of personal care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation Complete specialty-required skills within agreed time period (up to 6 months) Work effectively in a team Demonstrate effective and safe care Contribute to the support and development of new staff Work under pressure Information technology use Attention to detail patient records Accuracy (words and numbers) Effective written and verbal communication skills (literacy and numeracy) Good observation skills and recognition of the importance of reporting Desirable Recent experience of working in a healthcare environment Previous care experience in the specialty area Working in acute environment as a Health Care Support Worker Teaching skills Additional Criteria Essential Please provide evidence of your commitment to uphold the Trust's values: Compassion, Excellence, Collaboration
