Fixed Term 9 months- Maternity Cover The opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the team within our Cardiology Department.
As a team player with excellent communication skills and flexibility to contribute effectively to service development, who can work as part of a team but also under your own initiative delivering high quality, patient focused care in an environment that is busy and demanding.
You will be expected to provide support to the registered nursing team, by carrying out an extended range of assigned clinical tasks as well as direct patient care and associated administrative duties.
You must be adaptable to change and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
Previous experience of working within a healthcare setting is essential and completion of SVQ 3.
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post.
It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife.
Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
Your offer/contract of employment will therefore reflect the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
