Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic HealthcareAssistant to join our dynamic nursing team at Ariel HealthcareThe role will be to provide excellent compassionatecare to our practice population.
Ideally we would like recruit a trained HCAbut training will be offered to the right candidate.Personality and a sense of humour are moreimportant to us than qualifications!
Main duties of the job To work alongside the clinicians in the provisionof patient care.
To undertake tasks related to the assessment of physiologicalfunctioning.
To undertake, record and work in accordance with protocols andguidelines for tasks for which the post holder has received appropriatetraining.

Passing results to dutypractice Nurse for reviewClinicalResponsibilitiesRecogniseschanges in the patients observations which must be reported and acted on.Assistclinicians in emergency management of patients.Enablepatients to access appropriated professionals in the practice team.Act as achaperone.Providerelevant health promotion literature for patients.Clearlypresent patients points of view to others.CareManagementEnsurestock items are provided in GP and treatment rooms.Maintainclinical equipment efficiently.Followinfection control standards.Contributenew ideas to improve patient care.Instructpatients in appropriate techniques or tasks.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent level.
Desirable NVQ Level 3 Care Certificate Evidence of vocational training / continued professional development in an area relevant to the post Experience Essential Experience of experience in an area relevant to the post Knowledge and Skills Essential Experience of working in a healthcare environment To be articulate and able to communicate well with patients, partners and all members of the Primary Health Care Team To have the ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail To have a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality Be able to reach appropriate and workable solutions by identifying and considering all relevant information, keeping within own level of competence, complying with any necessary constraints, and ensuring all realistic avenues are explored Ready to adapt by being receptive to new ideas; willing and able to adjust to changing demands and circumstances Ability to remain calm under pressure To be equally comfortable working on his/her own or as part of a team Desirable Have an understanding of working in primary care and be aware of some of the broader issues affecting primary care within the NHS as a whole.
