We are a single site Practice.The current practice list size isjust over of 7,800 patients and around 5000 of these live in the town itselfwith the remaining patients residing in the rural villages that fall within ourPractice boundary.
Our patient cohort is largely aging and affluent and we havevery few patients of an ethnic background, but we do have some pockets ofdeprivation.The Team: Wehave 4 Partners & 3 Salaried Doctors that work in the Practice of which twoare GP Trainers.
All of our GPs haveareas of specific interest and take responsibility for championing these areasas Clinical Leads.
Job description Job responsibilities Undertake new patient health checks Support the Practice Nurse with health promotion programmes Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature and pulse rate, recording findings accurately Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required Support the Practice Nurse with the management of chronic disease clinics Act as a chaperone as required When trained, undertake venepuncture When trained, administer flu vaccinations Carry out ECGs as requested Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation Provide support during minor operations, and sexual health clinics as required Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session Ensure fridges are checked routinely in accordance with extant guidance Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the organisations IPC policy Deliver opportunistic health promotion where appropriate Person Specification Experience Essential Essential Ability to work as part of a dedicated team in a busy friendly practice.
Previous experience as Healthcare Assistant in a clinical setting.
Desirable Experience of working in a GP practice
