Job summary Symphony Healthcare Services (SHS) are looking to appoint an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for two of their Yeovil GP practices - Ryalls Park Medical Centre and Oaklands Surgery.We have 30 permanent hours per week to offer, to be worked over 5 days.
Working hours will be discussed at interview stage.The hourly rate of pay is £ per hour, with the option to join the NHS pension and many other SHS employee benefits (see attached poster).You will have experience of working in primary care and be competent in healthcare duties.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to organise their own time and workload effectively and a real and genuine passion for patient care.
Main duties of the job As a SHS HCA, you will work under the directsupervision of the Lead / Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance withspecific practice guidelines and protocols,You also willassist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribedprogrammes of patient care.If you want to join a busy, professional team, helping to deliver excellent patient care to the people of Yeovil, we would welcome your application.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care Care Certificate Desirable HCA Training Knowledge and skills Essential Demonstrates sound factual knowledge of field of work Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills Ability to work well under pressure Strong organisational skills IT literate Willingness to work flexibly (potentially across multiple site) Good understanding of the importance of confidentiality Desirable Previous experience using EMIS web Experience Essential Previous experience of working as a HCA or equivalent Can carry out clinical, technical, scientific or administrative duties according to established protocols or procedures, or systems of work Successful completion of probation (6 months minimum) Desirable Previous experience of working in Primary Care/ or similar NHS setting
