Job description Job responsibilities We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to join our community-based team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.Hours:Part time 27 hours per week (3 nights)Salary:AFC BAND 2 £23,615 pro rata, per annum + EnhancementsAs a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, you'll be supporting patients and families in their time of greatest need.
We provide free specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illness whilst offering vital emotional support for their families.With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference.
Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, so you're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes.
Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 2 Qualification NCFE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, BTEC level 2 Health and Social Care.
Functional skills at level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent Desirable National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 3 Qualification Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Experience Essential 6 Months care delivery experience (current) in a Health or Social Care Environment.
Desirable Recent professional experience of providing care and caring for dying patients.
