A great opportunity has arisen within a long established company based in Medway Towns for Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Advisor to join their team.
NEBOSH/IOSH certified, you will take ownership of all the health, safety, quality and environmental aspects associated with the business.
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
You will provide advice and guidance on all aspects of health, safety, quality and environment.
To monitor and research new health and safety legislation and best practice, giving guidance on implementation and compliance.About the Role - Your duties include:Auditing production and inspecting production equipment and processes, ensuring employee training is up to date.Creating and implementing training plansAssessing risks and creating safety plansMeeting company health and safety goalsConduct new starter health and safety inductionsPrepare health safety strategies and develop internal policyManaging accident report records, investigating causes of accidents, near misses and other unsafe conditions where required and finding the best way to prevent future accidentsMaintaining ISO14001, ISO9001 and HSE documentation for audits both internal and externalExperience of ISO auditingProduce Method Statement and Risk Assessment for site installationsMaintaining RIDDOR records and KPI'sEnsuring all first aid equipment is kept safe and up to dateMaintaining fire drill and PAT testing recordsManaging maintenance contracts for equipment with legislative safety requirementsQualifications/ExperienceProven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, Previous engineering/technical experience.
NEBOSH /IOSH certified, IT Literate (Outlook, Work, Excel),Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and deliver training plans, knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesExperience in writing reports and policies, organisational skills, diligent with great attention to detail.Required SkillsExcellent written and communication skills in order to explain health and safety processes to stakeholders.
A highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in health and safety regulations.
Extensive knowledge of HSE standards, risk management, and compliance.
An excellent eye for detail to identify and prevent potential hazards.BenefitsContributory pension scheme, Life assurance.
