An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to join the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Team.
We are looking for a proactive and pragmatic person to manage the health and safety team in providing health and safety advice and support to Staffordshire Police and the Office of the Police Fire and Crime Commissioner.

About you We would love to hear from candidates who; Have a NEBOSH Certificate or Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety Are Graduate Member's of IOSH Have experience leading a Health and Safety team You will have a proven track record of leading and embedding a positive health and safety culture within a large organisation, and experience of influencing senior leaders in terms of driving health and safety forward.
You will have an active interest in establishing best practice, using recognised tools such as audits to explore opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will also support the daily running of the unit with the other Unit Managers, working closely with the Head of OHSW, ensuring that the unit runs effectively and efficiently, and that the service provided is of the highest quality.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are vital, along with an enthusiasm to maintain a positive health and safety culture in an ever changing and challenging environment.
