Working on a wide variety of prestigious and unique projects delivering innovative solutions for our clients.As a Health and Safety Manager at Ridge, you will be exposed to many sectors and many cultures.
Supporting the delivery of the projects you will be developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines.You will also be required be conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.DutiesProvide strategic advice on developing and implementing their health and safety policy along with structured and comprehensive risk management systems at any stage of a construction projects or infrastructure projects.Manage and maintain accreditation and H&S office auditManage and maintain and continuously improve Ridge H&S policyEngagement with SLT on H&S mattersRegular interact CPD lunch and learn for H&S relevant topicsProvide and maintain induction training and other relevant H&SProvide H&S updates to the businessMaintain the internal H&S comms planProvide H&S advice to staff/businessManage H&S companywide budget.Engage with the business on risk profile and align H&S management systemsDevelop assurance scheme for the officesFacilities contractor management - PQQ, RAMS review etc.Engage and develop the H&S awareness of Office H&S representatives and OMPsExperience of implementing a management system in an organisationSkills, Experience and QualificationsHold at least Technical Membership with IOSH and be working towards Chartered statusNEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
NVQ 5 H&S or NEBOSH Diploma is preferredHave a very good understanding of risk management and hazard identificationExcellent organisation, communication and time management skills to match Client and Company expectationsGood analytical, communication & presentational skills with proven ability to work as an individual, and lead or work as a team member are required whilst also demonstrating managerial experience in directing remote teams, setting goals and objectives, and delivery of key targets.Key to the role delivery will be:Maintaining the H&S culture within the business, implementation of H&S policy, standards and procedures for Ridge.
Assist with maintenance of the Ridge H&S MS and associated documents with the support of our existing H&S and QA teamPromoting H&S awareness and ensuring consistency of approach across Ridge whilst overseeing H&S incident investigation process in the Ridge and other relevant areas.
Collection, collation, reporting and analysis of Ridge H&S data at group Operation board meetings.
Provide insights using H&S data trends and required actionsMaintain an overview of industry developments in the H&S field help develop H&S governance activities associated with Ridge, including audits of Ridge offices and the H&S management system
