As a growing business they have made a strategic hire recently to run the London portfolio of projects and are now recruiting this Health & Safety Manager role to support them as the business scales.
Job Description Audit, develop, and improve relevant policies and proceduresOversee and maintain robust health and safety practices within the construction departmentConduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsProvide training and guidance to construction teams on health and safety regulations and proceduresTake responsibility for project specific RAMS and coordinate with the Site Agents/Supervisors as requiredContribute to client reporting highlighting quality of H&S/CDM management in line with client and regulatory expectations The Successful Applicant A successful Health & Safety Manager should have:
A Health & Safety Qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH, etc)A strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction sectorProven experience in managing health and safety in a construction environmentExcellent communication skills to liaise with all levels of the organisation and externally as requiredA proactive approach to risk management and ability to identify solutions to challengesAbility to train and mentor construction teams on health and safety procedures What's on Offer A competitive salary (depending on experience)Travel expenses are covered by the companyHoliday entitlement of 21 days annual leaveDiscretionary bonusHybrid working (NB: some travel to UK projects will be required initially, afterwards the role will be London centric)
