Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, Plymouth RBG are currently supporting a market leading civil engineering contractor who are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join their Regional Civils team.
This exciting opportunity is to deliver a major infrastructure project in a safety critical environment which will cover many aspects of heavy civil engineering.
As a HSE Advisor you will inform the contractor and the client on all statutory and best practice requirements throughout the new project.
Key accountabilities: Deliver work site inspections to evaluate and address potential risks at planning stages Support project managers with site investigations Prepare written reports following all site visits, inspections, audits and investigations Review and update Project documentation Ability to communicate and promote a positive Health & Safety culture Experience required: NEBOSH Diploma /Grad IOSH working toward CMIOSH Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) competence Hold OR be willing & able to undergo security clearance through United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) Good understanding of CDM2015 Roles and Responsibilities Competence in incident investigation Demonstrable experience in a health and safety advisory role within construction.
Strong HS&E legal knowledge and practical application Experience of delivery of HS&E training Proven track record delivering H&S support to multiple project teams An exemplary communicator and able to build and maintain positive professional relationships at all levels The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and organised individual with good IT, written and verbal communication skills.
