Health & Safety Advisor - Construction - Glasgow - 35-45K  CBW have a new opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a Construction Company on a permanent basis.
Due to continued growth this newly created position will see you report to the Health & Safety Manager.
The position will be office based but you will also be required from time to time to be based on site.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00 (37.5 hours)  Duties & Responsibilities :  Responsibility and compliance of the Company's health and safety, making sure all staff are aware of the importance and follow safety protocol.
Implement practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial , of promoting health and safety and safe working practices in the workplace.
Conduct/organise relevant health and safety training for staff, as required, including first aid and fire safety.
Conduct all Risk Assessments as required by legislation and review at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.
Conduct and carry out internal and compliance audits for all  sites; reporting on findings and manage issues through to completion.
Carry out all risk assessments and special assessments for each site.
Coordinate and manage first aid and fire safety representatives.
To recommend and implement control measures and advise on the standard of PPE issued to employees.
To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings to employees.
Conduct health and safety site inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
To identify areas where where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice or HSE guidance.
Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement changes where relevant.
Bring to the attention of the Leadership Team any relevant new legislation.
Be responsible for checking the H&S aspects of all sub-contractors from on-boarding onwards.
Any other H&S duties as required To be considered: Previous experience within the health & Safety environment within construction Experience with working with various h&S teams including site based and office teams Salary and Benefits :  DOE 35-45K  Company bonus Pension  28 days holiday
