The RoleWe are looking for a motivated Health Promotion Assistant to join our team, focusing on Oral Health initiatives and providing essential administrative support to a senior member of our management team.The postholder contributes to the development and operational delivery of a wide range of Health Promotion projects and programmes in line with the Department Business Plan and under the leadership of a Senior Health Promotion Officer.The postholder holds responsibility for the personal secretarial support provided to one team within the Department and provides a Personal Assistant role to the Assistant Health Promotional Manager and or Senior Health Promotion Officer.NHS LanarkshireHave you always wanted to work with NHS Lanarkshire?

HNC/HND or equivalent experience, to be experienced in supervising staff, and ideally possess a full clean driving licence.Excellent computer skills are essential across a range of software packages including word processing and databases.
Desk top publishing skills are preferred.The postholder should have experience of working in an environment which has required the following skill base - Communication – oral/written Interpersonal Multi-tasking Time Management Forward Planning InitiativeThe postholder should be a self-motivated team player who has a minimum experience of secretarial work including general office administration.Postholders will be required to undertake regular training and learning opportunities to ensure the knowledge and skills required for the post are up-to-date.It would be great if you also havePrevious experience in a Health Promotion settingPrevious experience of organising trainingKnowledge of Child Healthy Weight and Adult Weight Management ProgrammesExperience of Powerpoint, laptop, LCD and internetExperience of using databases and creating reportsDesktop publishing skills preferredExcellent organisational skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritise own workloadAbility to work unsupervised when requiredContract typeFixed Term or Secondment for 2 yearPart Time22.5 hoursPlease note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.Please note this is a fixed term post for 2 year.
Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
