About the role Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for someone to play a lead role in the "work and health" agenda.
The post holder will work closely with the Public Health Consultant lead, County Council leads and partners in other organisations which will include the NHS, Department of Work and Health, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and employers.
The purpose of the role is to develop and support interventions that will enable people excluded from work because of poor health or disability to secure and stay in employment.
The role will involve commissioning and policy work alongside developing innovative interventions with partners.

About you You will require a Batchelor's Degree in Public Health/Health Improvement or related subject.
Equivalent experience will be considered but the post holder must commit to securing a relevant public health qualification.
You will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Public Health population approach.
This includes Public Health policy and practice, along with a knowledge of the key Public Health principles, especially its focus upon health inequalities and evidence-based practice.
You will have sound knowledge and understanding of the key commissioning principles and the commissioning cycle.
You are a team player, able to interpret and analyse data to identify need and the implications for policy and commissioning, and competently analyse public health policy and strategy and to translate strategy into action.
