Job summary We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team on Ward 21, a busy and dynamic Respiratory medical ward.Ward 21 is a modern, 24-bed clinical area, specialising in the treatment of a variety of acute respiratory conditions.
The ward accommodates patients with complex respiratory needs, and we provide a supportive and caring environment.
We also offer en-suite facilities for 12 single rooms, ensuring a comfortable setting for our patients.As part of our team, you will work alongside a well-established medical team and a multidisciplinary ward staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day care of our patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care during their stay.

Person Specification Contractual Requirements Essential Flexible approach Able to work flexibly on a varied shift pattern according to the roster including nights and weekends Experience Essential Able to demonstrate clear and robust verbal and written English communication skills Experience of working as part of a team Previous care work experience Previous face-to-face customer care experience Desirable Previous experience in a hospital setting Further Training Essential Able to attend a 5-day Clinical Induction Committed to attending further training and development as identified Qualifications Essential NVQ 2 in care or willingness to work towards Educated to a good standard of general education equivalent to GCSE Maths & English level C or above Care Certificate or commitment to achieving within 2 weeks of commencement Desirable "Care Certificate" qualification NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care Certificate/ Knowledge Requirements Essential Must understand basic requirements for individualised personal care Recognise people's right to privacy and dignity, treating every person with respect Desirable Awareness of Safeguarding issues
