Job summary Healthcare Support Worker Band 3Cedar Ward - Chippenham Community Hospital Hours per Week Permanent** Unfortunately we are unable to offer overseas sponsorship at this time**The Health Care Support Worker is an essentialmember of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patientsas well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers.You will be expected to provide a high level ofEssential Care to meet the needs of patients in the Ward.
This will includehelping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition andhydration.As well as supporting recovery you will promoterehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as muchindependence as possibleIn addition to Essential Care and Support therewill be the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoringand recording of Patient Observations, ECGs and PhlebotomyWe will support successful candidates to completethe Care Certificate whilst working with us, to embed their practice andlearning and support ongoing development.The teams on the wards include Nurses,Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Support Workers, TherapyAssistants, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Consultant Nurses.

The salary for a Band 3 is £24,071 to £25,674 depending onexperience.
Working unsocial hours pays an additional 85% on Bank Holidays andSundays and an additional 43% at other times.

Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of working under supervision.
Experience of supporting other workers.
Desirable Experience of community working Experience of the NHS.
Experience of work in an acute or urgent health care setting Qualifications Essential Good general education.
Care Certificate or willingness to achieve.
Additional Criteria Essential Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
