Job summary Health Care Assistant - Band 3Mulberry Ward - Chippenham Hospital Hours per Week - Permanent - Full TimeUnfortunately we are unable to offer overseas sponsorship at this time.In this role, as a Healthcare Assistant, you will be working closelywith multi-disciplinary team members to provide a high standard of care forpatients throughout their visit or stay at one of our community hospitals.
Youwill be responsible for implementing treatment and risk management plans andaiding patients through their recovery.
Moreover, you will also be responsiblefor providing support and comfort to patient family members or carers.During your work as a Healthcare assistant, you will be expected toprovide a high level of care to all patients in your ward or clinical area.This may include (and will not be limited to) moving and handling, cleaning andbathing patients, feeding patients and patient observations - this could be fora wide variety of patients.
We will support successful candidates to completethe Care Certificate whilst working with us, to embed their practice andlearning and support ongoing development.The teams on the wards include Nurses, Physiotherapists, OccupationalTherapists, Health Care Assistants, Rehabilitation Support Workers, AdvancedClinical Practitioners and Doctors.

Thestarting salary for a Band 3 is £24,071 (£Working unsocial hours pays an additional 85% on Bank Holidays and Sundays, andan additional 43% at other times.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE Maths & English grade D or above or Level 1 functional skills in Literacy & Numeracy Desirable QCF or NVQ Level 2 in a health related subject Care Certificate Experience Essential Experience of working in a care / health role.
