Job summary Hollybank is a 15 bedded Rehabilitation and recovery unit, delivering compassionate holistic care for patients with enduring mental health issues and complex needs and working 24 hours a day.
Successful applicants will work a shift pattern that includes nights, earlies, lates and weekends.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join our small friendly team based in Hollybank.
As one of the team, you will ensure that you offer responsive, recovery focused care to the patients, while building strong therapeutic relationships to support patients to move forward in their recovery.This is a role where you can really make a difference working to reduce the amount of time our patients need to spend in hospital and helping them to work towards their recovery and back into the community.
As part of the role, the candidate will take part in the trust induction and training programme.

Main duties of the job Your role and responsibilities will be to support the registered staff, aid patients with activities of daily living and working alongside care plans to ensure patient needs are met, including escorting patients on community leave and other tasks you may have delegated to you by the nurse in charge.
To provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with the specified plan of clinical care.
To accurately record patient/client information.
To provide support to relatives/carers and work under the supervision of qualified staff.
To observe report and record changes in the clients physical, mental health and behaviour.
To provide care for clients as planned in Multi-disciplinary Team MDT meeting.We are looking to appoint motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, resourceful, and resilient individuals who are committed to providing support and assistance to patients in their recovery of an acute episode of distress.
