Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within clinical haematology at Mid and South Essex NHS TRUST for a healthcare assistant (HCA) supporting the delivery of the anticoagulation service.This HCA post would suit an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work alone and as part of our team.If successful, your role is to help with the daily running of the Anticoagulation and DVT clinic, this will involve using point of care analyser to preform blood test, to help the patients within the clinic where required, and administration duties within the clinic where required.So, if this sounds like the right role for you - please apply today Main duties of the job To carry out point of care testing used for anticoagulation monitoring and DVT assessments.Phlebotomy of patients within our service that require blood blood tests for use in the service.Stock control within the department of consumables.Helping the reception staff with duties.Chaperoning patients during scanning when required.
