Our Health Care Assistants predominantly operate out of Norwich Road and Chesterfield Drive.
Thisrole is offered on a full or part time basis.
About us Cardinal Medical Practice is a busy practice locatedon the outskirts of Ipswich Town Centre with a practice population ofapproximately 30,000 patients.
Cardinal was formed from a merger ofChesterfield Drive, Deben Road and Norwich Road surgeries and as a result, weare now one of the biggest medical practices in Suffolk.The practice has a team of 4 GP Partners, SalariedGP's, GP Registrars, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Paramedics,Physicians Associate, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, CareCo-ordinators and additional healthcare associates.
The team is supported byManagement and a large administrative team.

Job description Job responsibilities Job Summary To assist in patient care and practice relatedduties as directed by and under the supervision of a registered healthcareprofessional.
The HCA will work collaboratively with the general practice teamto meet the needs of the patients, including the housebound, following practicepolicy and procedures.
ClinicalSkills Undertake annual review checks as part of themanagement of long-term conditions: -Diabetes -Hypertension -CKD -PAD -Mental health -Learning disability Processurine samples and take action in line with practice protocol UndertakeECGs including 24 hour ECGs Undertakeblood pressure checks, including 24 hour BP checks and act on results inaccordance with practice hypertension protocol Takebloods and prepare/submit blood forms Applydressings and undertake basic would care Removesutures and staples UndertakeNHS Health-checks and act on results, QRisk score in line with practiceprotocol Measureand record following physiological measurements in routine presentations: -bloodpressure -pulse -temperature -heightand weight - body mass index -smokinghistory -alcoholhistory Undertakeear syringing as part of the referral pathway to ENT Administervaccinations/immunisations: -Flu/Fluenz-B12 -Covid19 -Pneumococcal Other duties Monitorstock levels and order supplies as necessary Prepareand maintain clinical room and equipment before, during and after patient careinterventions Person Specification Experience Essential Experience in working as a Health Care Assistant Desirable Experience of working in primary care Qualifications Essential Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate Standard.
